The re-election of Iya Mohamed as president for another 4-year term has broken the stalemate in the Cameroon Football Federation that almost paralysed soccer in the national territory, in both the elite and amateur leagues, which are now bracing up for the 2005 season.
Among them, is Milano Football Club of Kumbo; who was runners up to the young academy in last year's race for a representative ticket in the National Inter-pool competitions.
The club's executive has launched recruitment campaign for the 2005 season, which will run from March 1 to 15, 2005 at the Tobin Municipal Stadium. According to the release, signed by the club's secretary general Mr. Barah Lainso, all players who deem themselves fit to be part of the 25-man squad are invited to come up and be tested. They should come along with their equipment and should be able to sustain themselves within the two weeks of the recruitment exercise, for the club will only take charge after the new squad has been named.
Alongside the recruitment exercise, Milano FC will also be making public the creation of its website, which is aimed at facilitating its transactions during the up-coming season. The site; www.milanokumbofc.com, is still under construction but close sources say that it will serve as a shopping window for the club's budding soccer stars, and to effect certain club transactions with the world. Same sources added that Kumbo Milano FC is in to intensify its struggle for soccer supremacy in the North West province this year.
