The Liturgical Commission of the Catholic Women’s Association, CWA, Cameroon met for three days in La Verna, Foncha Street, Archdiocese of Bamenda, in a bid to work out a three year liturgical and spiritual project for the Association.
The seminar from Monday evening 16th April to Thursday morning 19 April, brought together priests, religious and delegates from dioceses in Cameroon.
The priests present were Fr William Neba for Bamenda, Fr Guy Noel from Bafoussam; Fr Edwin Njongai from Kumbo; Fr Anselm Lungla from Mamfe; and Fr William Egedegbe from Douala. Other delegates were Rev. Sr Lucy Nyuykighan of the Holy Family Sisters, animator for Bafoussam, Dr Mrs Akenji Theresia from Douala, Mrs Edi Irene, Mrs Binkum Josepha and MrsTchapchi Franka all from the diocese of Buea; Miss Susan Awa and Mrs Nathalia Neba from Bamenda; Mrs Komtangi Beatrice from the Diocese of Kumbo, Mrs Orock Gladys from Mamfe and Mrs Nguidjo Jeanne, and Mme Djonaga Jeanne both from Nkongsamba diocese.
Opening the seminar on Tuesday morning, 17 April 2007, the National CWA president Mme Menga Rose Ngangku, encouraged the participants to go through the Catechism of the Catholic Church in such a careful manner that the rest of the women will be better assisted to deepen their faith.
