The Bible Society of Cameroon wants to take part in the Episcopal Conference

The Bible Society of Cameroon, BSC, has expressed its desire to participate at the National Episcopal Conference of Cameroon, NECC as it does for synods of other churches.This was one of the resolutions taken at the end of BSC's 12th General Assembly.

Pontifical Missionary Societies of Cameroon holds national council

The Pontifical Missionary Societies of Cameroon held its 14th National Council meeting in Yaounde from January 22-26 at Nkolbisson, Yaounde, under the chairmanship of the Archbishop of Garoua and President of the Commission on Evangelisation at the National Episcopal Conference of Cameroon, Mgr. Antoine Ntalou.

ELECAM: Christians should have given a single proposal - Mgr Paul Nyaga

In a sermon delivered to thousands of Christians of the Catholic Church and other denominations, during the Week of Prayers for Christian unity, last January 25, the Vicar General of Douala Diocese Mgr Paul Nyaga, said that Christians should have presented one proposal to the government ahead of the creation of Elections Cameroon.

Yaounde consecrates Auxiliary Bishop

Mgr Christophe ZOA, named Auxiliary Bishop of the Yaounde Archdiocese on November 30 by Pope Benedict XVI, was consecrated on Saturday, February 3rd at the 20th May Boulevard in Yaounde. The Consecration brought together a cross section of the political elite, bishops, priests, the religious and the lay faithful from Yaounde and beyond.

The Diocese of Buea: From concept to reality

The Diocese of Buea stands out in Cameroon as one of the oldest. The history of the Diocese dates as far back as 1923 when Buea was erected at the time prefecture Apostolic of Buea, under the leadership of Mgr John William Campling.

However many know the history of t Buea as from the time of Mgr Bishop Peter Rogan who was then first Bishop after Buea was erected to a full flesh Diocese from erstwhile Vicariate Apostolic of Buea on the 18 of April 1950.
